Headlights and Fog Lights

The headlight is the light that illuminates the front of the cars and provides vision while driving. It is one of the indispensable parts of the vehicles. For the vehicles to be used legally, the headlights must be present and active. There are three common types of headlights in terms of light types from the first generation of headlights to the present day. We can list them as LED headlights, xenon headlights and halogen headlights. Halogen Headlights The halogen headlight system is the most widely used headlight type in the vehicle industry. Its history dates to very old years and it is quite affordable in terms of costs. Halogen headlights work through a tungsten filament that converts this current into light when the electric current from the vehicle's battery passes. This item is surrounded by glass. The glass contains argon and nitrogen gases. Halogen headlights emit light by bringing the electrical energy from the battery to 2500 Celsius. The most popular type of headlights, halogen headlights, have an average life of 1000 hours. Halogen light types complete their lifetime because of the evaporation of the gases inside as a result of the cracking of the glass surrounding the tungsten filament or the breaking of the wires inside. Replacing halogen headlights is quite simple. But do not be too confident that it is simple, it is a job that requires some care and attention. Because there may be a certain amount of oil on the bulbs of the halogen headlight. This oil is very important for the life of the bulb. Therefore, removing the oil will reduce the life of the bulb. Therefore, insert the bulb without touching the bulb as much as possible. Xenon Headlights Xenon headlights, which are powered by xenon gas, are known to consume less energy compared to halogen headlights and to shine brighter. In fact, we can say that its use has become quite widespread recently due to the degree and color of the light it produces. Xenon headlights consist of bulbs with two electrodes. Xenon bulbs in the automotive industry stand out as an elongated bulb covered with quartz material. This quartz contains gas mixtures called xenon gas. The light color of xenon headlights, which converts the power from the battery into light energy thanks to the gas and electrodes inside, is white and generally 4300 Celsius degrees. LED Lights LEDs began to be used in vehicles due to their high efficiency. Despite their small structure, they have a high lighting capacity. LED headlights are not affected by vibrations. For this reason, the life of an LED headlight can often coincide with the life of the vehicle. Led headlight bulbs are usually white and 6500 Celsius degrees.
